Michael Gordon Bennett spent three decades inside American television and independent production — as a Senior Assignment Editor in network news, a producer at the Travel Channel, and a strategic operator across independent film and finance. He holds a BA in Journalism and a Certificate in Feature Film Writing from UCLA. He is a U.S. Air Force veteran and the author of Out of Frame: Growing Up Where I Didn't Belong.
His feature screenplay Barrage — the story of the 320th Barrage Balloon Battalion, the only all-Black U.S. Army unit to land at Normandy on D-Day — has been recognized by the Austin Film Festival, the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards, and the Big Apple Film Festival. He is currently developing a slate of four features through 727 Squared Entertainment, including the adaptation of Out of Frame, and is designing a capital-protected investment fund for independent film.
