Founded by Michael Gordon Bennett — a writer, director, and producer with over 30 years in the industry — the company's current development slate includes Barrage (a prestige WWII feature, script complete and festival-recognized), Out of Frame (a coming-of-age feature adapted from the founder's own memoir), Rouge (an 8-episode conspiracy thriller series with a completed pilot), and Caddie Voodoo (a family comedy in development).
This slate is the starting point, not the ceiling — the company expects to package many more film and television projects as its financing capabilities grow.
727 Squared has a non-binding agreement with ARwall, a patented LED in-camera virtual production company, to build key sequences of Barrage — including its D-Day invasion scenes — using virtual production technology rather than traditional location and set-heavy filming. A line producer's current budget for Barrage runs $15M, of which $2.1M is specifically ARwall-related production cost.
This isn't a one-off: staying at the forefront of production technology, and using it to reduce cost without compromising creative vision, is part of how 727 Squared intends to operate on an ongoing basis.
727 Squared is currently raising $1,500,000 in seed capital for the company itself — equity in 727 Squared Entertainment, Inc., not financing for any single production.
This raise capitalizes the company. It does not capitalize the financing vehicle described below — that vehicle will be capitalized separately by its own investors once formed.
